Start slowly

Any time we learn something new, we start off slowly. We count on our fingers, we use 2 hands to hold something, we hold on to someone else.

With the dog training program we teach at ECADT, we start off slowly. The lessons begin inside off leash and then progress to outside and in public. We teach your dogs first, while you watch. You then learn how to call and keep your dogs’ attention. You learn how to motivate a response and reinforce the behavior. Your dogs learn to pay attention and respond willingly. After the responses become habit, you apply what they have learned, day in and day out.

The learning curve is very steep. It takes practice between sessions but takes only a handful of sessions. The Program covers all you need and may begin once you bring your dogs home.

East Coast Academy of Dog Training services the Baltimore region: Anne Arundel county, Baltimore city, Baltimore county, Carroll county, Howard county and Harford county. This program is designed for the whole family to be involved. It takes place at your location & at your convenience.
