What to expect during your dog’s free evaluation
At East Coast Academy of Dog Training Inc., we believe it’s important to have a plan so you know what to expect. Raising your dog is a lot less frustrating when you have a plan and have the confidence that the plan will be effective. This is why we offer the free evaluation to families all throughout the Baltimore metropolitan region. We service Baltimore city and Baltimore county. We service Anne Arundel, Howard, Carroll and Harford county.
What happens during the free evaluation
As your puppy/dog is taught a response or two, you may look through some testimonials, ask questions and answer some questions too. There are multiple parts to the training program. As we discuss the dog and the owner’s needs and expectations, we figure out what your dog needs, thus, what to cover through the program.
For example, if the client no longer needs help with "housebreaking", to eliminate in the correct spot, then we don't cover that. The other parts are almost all of the time very necessary to cover and for the owners to follow.
Obedience responses alone do not satisfactorily help control problem behaviors, nor produce the best results.
We discuss how the program progresses from off leash to on, and inside to outside. We also discuss the problem behaviors that obedience alone does not control well. These behaviors need other techniques and procedures to be followed throughout the day. The evaluation is like the table of contents in a book, like an outline of what’s to come.
After the evaluation, you may sign up and begin the training program. The process is very comfortable and convenient. You feel confident knowing what will be asked of you, and the appointments are all set up at the start. A plan is in action and worry is minimized.
